SSR Rehab
The project involves exterior painting for all 18 buildings on property. Individual buildings will be closed off to guests as the painting occurs. The entire project is slated to run from November 2010 through an unspecified date in the summer of 2012.
Construction barriers will be used to minimize the impact on other resort guests.
This refurbishment comes as Saratoga Springs prepares for the conversion of its Paddock-area Leisure Pool to a full blown feature pool with accompanying counter service dining facilities.

Disneyland Resort: Mickey's Halloween Party will take place on Oct. 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29 and 31. Moving this year from Disney California Adventure® Park to Disneyland Park, the party will dramatically add to its trick-or-treat stations, giving Guests all the candy-fueled energy they'll need to maximize their enjoyment of the popular Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy attractions. Guests benefit from early access to the Park (entering the park as early as 3 p.m. for the Tuesday events that begin at 6 p.m., and as early as 4 p.m. for Friday events beginning at 7 p.m.) and nearly all of its attractions, and enjoy exclusive in-Park viewing of the Halloween Screams fireworks spectacular.
Disney Vacation Club Members may purchase as many as eight tickets at the discounted price of $44 each for parties taking place on Oct. 1, 5, 12, 19 and 26 (regular prices are $49 in advance, $54 on the day of the event and $59 for the Oct. 29 and 31 parties). To purchase tickets, call (714) 781-4400, and identify yourself as a Disney Vacation Club Member. Member Discounts Among Festival's 'delicious discoveries'
Sample mouth-watering, delicious, tapas-sized portions from around the globe as you travel through World Showcase. Disney Vacation Club® Member discounts are among the tempting ingredients in the mix for this year's Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival, celebrating 15 years of delicious discoveries Oct. 1-Nov. 14.
Member discounts range from $2 off wine seminars to as much as $3 off culinary demonstrations. As an added perk, Members may book these popular experiences beginning Aug. 25 before the reservations open to the general public on Aug. 27. Note that discounted tickets won't be available at the door of these experiences, so advance booking is required. Make reservations.
You can learn all about this year's festival offering - from the international marketplaces serving foods and beverages from more than 25 countries (including newcomers Belgium and South Korea) to the artists scheduled to perform in the Eat to the Beat Concert Series (Sugar Ray and Air Supply are among the standouts) online at www.disneyworld.com/foodandwine.
When attending the festival, be sure to pick up a Marketplace Discovery Passport. It's a fun new way to track your culinary travels by collecting unique stamps from each of the festival marketplaces, and it makes for a cool (and complimentary!) scrapbook souvenir. Plus, it's presented by Disney Vacation Club, which makes it that much cooler.

New DVC Site?
It's an intriguing concept, particularly if they built the train loop to connect the three properties (Wilderness Lodge, Wilderness Junction, and Fort Wilderness).
Who knows what will happen. Even if Disney engineers have been spotted on site, we all know that Disney investigates a lot of things and only pursues some of them.
Still, what do you think of the whole thing?
